Advocates Shelter

OMG's volunteers look over a border filled with liatris and lavender.

We do not share the location of the Advocates Center so that it remains a safe place for women seeking shelter. Pictured: old-fashioned Bleeding Hearts.

The OMG volunteers who garden at the Advocates Center are dedicated. They enjoy knowing that a peaceful landscape comforts and sustains troubled lives.

Advocates Slide Show
Advocates of Ozaukee provides a shelter for victims of abuse.
Ozaukee Master Gardener volunteers plant and maintain numerous gardens at the shelter in support of the healing process for abuse survivors, and to t the same time create a calm setting for staff.
A colorful, textured herb walkway leads clients to their new, temporary home. Master gardener volunteers maintain this welcoming entry during the spring, summer, and fall. We also take responsibility for several other gardens on the property.
Because the Advocates shelter protects the privacy and safety of its clients, the OMG gardens there are not open to the public, and we do not publish the address.
