Monthly Ozaukee Master Gardener Meetings
Our meetings begin at 7 p.m. online via Zoom generally on the fourth Thursday of the month with a presentation on a horticulture topic given by an expert in that field. The presentation generally runs one hour and is followed by the monthly business meeting. On occasion our meetings are held in-person.

Foliage and Focal Points: Ideas for Gardeners and Budgets of All Sizes

“Gardens without focus lack interest,” said Karen Chapman. “No matter how beautiful the overall plant pallet is, if there isn’t somewhere for the eye to pause, the garden can appear to be a jumble of color and textures…rather like a crazy quilt,” she adds.
Chapman will be presenting (via Zoom) “Foliage and Focal Points: Ideas for Gardeners and Budgets of All Sizes” for Ozaukee Master Gardeners’ talk scheduled for March 23 at 7:00 pm.
Chapman, grew up with a trowel in her hand. She is owner of Le jardinet, a custom landscape design company specializing in creating artistic plant combinations with four-season foliage framework, functional outdoor living spaces, and deer-resistant designs. As well, she teaches container and landscape design, writes about landscape design for national gardening publications including Fine Gardening, Country Gardens, Sunset, and Garden Design. She co-authored two books “Fine Foliage” and “Gardening with Foliage First”. Her most recent book, “Deer Resistant Design” was released in 2019.
